Learning Professional Cross-Country & Flight Procedures

During this stage you will add to your knowledge in cross-country planning by learning the professional techniques and procedures used by commercial pilots. You will then put these professional procedures into practice in cross-country operations both during the day and at night.

Building Cross-Country Experience

Learn about airspace, weather minimums, reference publications, collision avoidance, wake turbulence, power plant operations, aircraft systems, Federal Aviation Regulations, and applicable NTSB regulations.

Begin steep turns, crosswind landings, go-arounds, crosswind takeoffs and landings, explore dealing with potential emergencies, expand skills with slow flight, stalls, ground reference maneuvers, and control by Instrument reference.

During this stage you will add to your experience by flying cross-country operations to commercial standards both during the day and at night.

Flying Complex/TAA Airplanes

This stage is an important part of the commercial pilot license course. During this stage, you will learn about the systems and operations of complex and technically advanced airplanes, also known as TAA. These are aircraft that have a higher level of technological sophistication, with features such as advanced avionics. You will learn how to operate these planes safely and efficiently, including how to handle emergency situations. This stage is critical to your development as a pilot, as it will give you the skills and knowledge needed to fly these advanced aircraft.

Flying Commercial Maneuvers

Preparing For Your Commercial Pilot Check Ride

This is the time to gain proficiency and fine tune your skills to the standards required for the commercial pilot certificate. You’ll review everything you have learned to make sure, you are ready to take command of the airplane as a commercial pilot.
